Data We Collect

When you request a quote, we collect:

• Full name
• Phone number
• Email address
• Eircode

Purpose

We use your data to connect you with Safe Electric certified EV charger installers in your area. Your Eircode is used to automatically route your enquiry to the nearest available qualified installer in your area, who will contact you to provide your quote.

Lawful Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Our legitimate interest is connecting users who have requested a quote with qualified, certified installers in their area.

The data we collect (name, phone number, email address, and Eircode) is the minimum required to fulfil this purpose. We have conducted a Legitimate Interests Assessment confirming that this processing does not override your rights and freedoms.

Your Right to Object: You have the right to object to this processing at any time. To exercise this right, contact us at info@carchargerquotes.ie. If you object, we will cease processing your data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests.

Who Receives Your Data

Your details are shared with Safe Electric certified installation partners. We route your information to an installer in your area based on your Eircode. We do not sell your data. We do not use your details for marketing.

Data Processors

We use the following third-party service providers who process personal data on our behalf:

• Cloudflare, Inc. — Hosts our application infrastructure, database (Cloudflare D1), and compute (Cloudflare Workers). Cloudflare's Data Processing Addendum is incorporated into their Self-Serve Subscription Agreement.
• Zoho Corporation / ZeptoMail — Processes and transmits transactional emails containing lead data. Operating under a signed Data Processing Addendum.

All processors are bound by written data processing agreements in accordance with GDPR Article 28.

International Data Transfers

Your data is primarily processed within the European Economic Area (EEA). However, some of our processors are headquartered outside the EEA:

• Cloudflare (US-headquartered) — Certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and operates under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). Our application data is stored in Cloudflare's EU region.
• Zoho / ZeptoMail (US/India-headquartered) — Operates under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

These safeguards ensure that your data receives an equivalent level of protection when transferred outside the EEA.

Data Storage and Retention

Your data is stored securely. Lead records are retained for 12 months from the date of submission, after which they are automatically deleted. You may request early deletion at any time by contacting us.
